Nine months after an 84-year-old San Bernardino woman died after she and her husband were robbed and badly beaten, sheriff’s detectives are calling the death a homicide and seeking the public’s help in finding the man who broke into the victim’s home.
“This case is now being investigated as a murder,” sheriff’s officials say in a bulletin released Tuesday, Nov. 12. . . .
The bulletin also contains an artist’s sketch of a suspect who is described as a black man in his late 20s to early 30s. about 5-feet-9 and, at the time of the attacks, had a medium build.
The bulletin doesn’t explain why so much time passed between the death and detectives classifying the case as a homicide, and a call to a sheriff’s spokeswoman for clarification wasn’t returned.
Within two weeks, a suspect was arrested whom the sketch resembles.

The Spanish military is quietly monitoring its Muslim soldiers in an effort to prevent the spread of Islamic radicalism within its ranks, according to a classified Defense Ministry document that has been leaked to the Spanish media. . . .
In July 2012 it emerged that the Spain’s National Intelligence Center (CNI) was investigating a tip it received from the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) that al-Qaeda operatives had infiltrated Spanish military units based both in Ceuta and Melilla, territories the Algeria-based Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) has long threatened to “reconquer” for Islam.
The alert resulted from an investigation initiated by the CIA and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in November 2009, after the U.S. Army psychiatrist, Major Nidal Malik Hasan, an al-Qaeda sympathizer, fatally shot 13 people and injured more than 30 others at Fort Hood in Texas. The investigation found that at least 100 Islamic extremists had infiltrated the US military, and that some of these individuals had been in contact with Islamic radicals who had infiltrated military units in Spain, as well as in Britain, France and Germany.

Spring Valley, N.Y., Mayor Noramie Jasmin (D.) was arrested in April for allegedly accepting bribes from an FBI informant. In March, Gainesville, Fla., Mayor Craig Lowe was charged with a DUI after police found him asleep at the scene of a car accident.
Marcus Hook, Pa., Mayor James Schiliro was arrested for reckless endangerment after allegedly firing a handgun inside his home during a drunken argument with a 20-year-old man.
Other current and former MAIG members have been charged with felony corruption, assault of a police officer, and child sex crimes.

In order to receive a government subside, a married couple must earn less than $62,040. Therefore, a married couple with each spouse making $35,000 annually for a combined income of $70,000 dollars would not qualify for a healthcare subside. In contrast, an unmarried couple with each partner making $40,000 for a combined income of $80,000 could qualify for thousands of dollars in subsides.
Heritage Foundation senior research fellow Robert Rector considers this as an inherent bias. In an interview with the Deseret News, he remarked, “It’s a system that preferentially rewards the exact same people for not being married… It’s as if they took the income tax code and took away all the tables that relate to married couples.”
Rector does not think this inequity is random but rather that the tax law was formulated on ideological grounds. He claims that unmarried couples often vote Democrat and married couples lean Republican.

In the weekend column, I link to the excellent work of Powerline’s John Hinderaker, who has demonstrated that, for over three years, the Obama administration’s internal estimates have shown that most Americans who are covered by “employer plans” will also lose their coverage under Obamacare. Mind you, 156 million Americans get health coverage through their jobs.
John cites the Federal Register, dated June 17, 2010, beginning at page 34,552 (Vol. 75, No. 116). It includes a chart that outlines the Obama administration’s projections. The chart indicates that somewhere between 39 and 69 percent of employer plans would lose their “grandfather” protection by 2013. In fact, for small-business employers, the high-end estimate is a staggering 80 percent (and even on the low end, it’s just a shade under half — 49 percent).
That is to say: During all these years, while Obama was repeatedly assuring Americans, “If you like your health-insurance plan, you can keep your health-insurance plan,” he actually expected as many as seven out of every ten Americans covered by employer plans to lose their coverage. For small business, he expected at least one out of every two Americans, or as many as four out of every five, to lose their coverage.

What the discussion surrounding post-natal abortion and infanticide fails to recognize is that we already have de facto post natal abortion rights in effect: some people who murder their newborns face no consequences even when criminally convicted.
Which people?
The mothers.
Fathers who kill their infants feel the full wrath of the law.
Let’s start with mothers. The usual profile for women who murder their infants? They tend to be young, poor, unmarried, with limited social supports, a history of mental illnesses and they have hidden their pregnancies from those around them. When the baby arrives, they panic and kill the child. The population most at risk of being murdered in the United States? Children under the age of one. The most likely murderer? Their mothers. The most likely victim? A son. . . .
In the overwhelming majority of cases, the baby’s best protection against being killed is absent from the woman’s life: the baby’s biological father. As noted, it is extremely rare for men to kill their newborns. The absence of the father is a contributing factor to the death of the infants, almost always.

IT’S TIME To Start Delivering Death Blows To Feminists.
Five years ago, a feminist would get away with spouting anti-male rhetoric and not get a single negative response. Then things changed to where her arguments would be defeated in the comments section of even the most mainstream of outlets like Yahoo and The Atlantic (prompting the predictable trend to kill comments sections entirely). Seeing these comments is a good sign, but it doesn’t go far enough. The next step is to hold them responsible for the remainder of their lives. . . .
A permanent archive that clearly outlines the views of every female hatemonger must be preserved in Google. . . .
My casual experimentation with this method has yielded results:
- Indian feminist Nitasha Tiku helped get Pax Dickinson fired. The second result in Google for her name reveals her anti-male bias.
- Kyla Garvey is a feminist who used her freelancer position to get Toronto firemen fired. This massive conflict of interest is revealed in the second result for her name.
- Seetha Kulandaisamy, another Indian feminist, helped get a man fired because of a joke she didn’t like. The first two results of her name reveals her sympathies.
Will these Google results hurt the women as much as they have hurt men? Probably not. . . . At the minimum, we make their lives more uncomfortable (I personally know that Nitasha Tiku and Kyla Garvey were emotionally hurt by how their angelic Google results were tainted).

AN ATTACK ON FREE SPEECH: When Government Keeps Teens from Seeing the Therapist.
The bans on talk therapy have consequences for the freedoms of speech and religion of all Americans. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals was only able to uphold this ban in California by defining one-on-one counseling as “conduct” rather than “speech.” The court held that talk-only sexual re-orientation therapy is more like administering electroshock treatments than communicating a message.
Paul Sherman and Robert McNamara, who represent the Institute for Justice, warn that if “speech” can be relabeled “conduct” in this way, then governments can begin regulating teachers who engage in the “conduct” of instructing, actors who engage in the “conduct” of entertaining, and consultants who engage in the “conduct” of strategizing. “Whatever one’s view of the merits or evils of ‘reparative’ talk therapy,” McNamara and Sherman write, “it consists entirely of spoken communication,” and this should bring it within the scope of First Amendment protection. The Ninth Circuit’s ruling represents a radical break from the American tradition of protecting unpopular speech that offends the sensibilities of a powerful interest group.
JONATHAN ADLER: The Legality of the Latest ObamaCare Fix. “Even if state commissioners approve the plans, they will still be illegal under federal law. Given this fact, why would any insurance company agree to renew such a plan? It’s nice that regulators may forbear enforcing the relevant regulatory requirements, but this is not the only source of potential legal jeopardy. So, for instance, what happens when there’s a legal dispute under one of these policies? Say, for instance, an insurance company denies payment for something that is not covered under the policy but that would have been covered under the PPACA and the insured sues? Would an insurance company really want to have to defend this decision in court?”

Ibrahim has since had his citizenship revoked. The family claim this only happened after they put pressure on the authorities – however the Home Office claims that it occurred automatically because he was found guilty. . . .
The Home Office has said that when they have served their sentences, Nouri and Ibrahim will be deported.
But the Walsh family remains sceptical. Kay says: ‘Having seen how the immigration system works, we have lost all faith in British justice. Who’s to say these men won’t claim asylum, saying their lives will be in danger if they go back to their own country, and end up staying here after all?’
