TRUMP Thumps Merkel On Migrant Madness: ‘It’s The End Of Europe’. [archive]
“I think Angela Merkel made a tragic mistake with the migrants,” Trump told French conservative weekly Valeurs Actuelles, which said it was the billionaire’s first in-depth campaign interview with European media.
“If you don’t treat the situation competently and firmly, yes, it’s the end of Europe. You could face real revolutions,” Trump was quoted as saying, according to the French translation.
Here’s the cover [archive] of the issue, which is dated February 17 and is set to hit newsstands February 11. Here’s the interview [archive] ($).
As Trump recently said in Salem, New Hampshire (video), “Germany is in turmoil. All of these countries are in turmoil. The crime, by the way, is through the roof. You’re going to have a revolution in Germany. Wait ’til you see what they do with Merkel. What she did is insane. It’s insane.”

The number of licences for ‘small weapons’ in Germany rose by 21,000 over the month of January . . .
The declaration of small weapon licences comes after a request by a Green Party member of parliament, who criticised German citizens’ decisions to invest in self defence as provocative. Green politician, security committee member, and former policewoman Irene Mihalic acknowledged the change was because of growing insecurity felt by the Germany people, reports [archive] Frankfurter Allgemeine.
UPDATE: More on Trump’s interview with the French publication: Europe heading for ‘revolutions’ and ‘collapse’ over immigration, warns Donald Trump. [archive]
“What’s happening in Europe can lead to its collapse. It’s dramatic what (Merkel) has allowed to happen, this flood,” he said, adding that the “consequences” were being felt around the continent.
“If we don’t deal with the situation competently and firmly, then yes, it’s the end of Europe,” he predicted.
Stopping short of predicting civil war, he said the continent had “real revolutions ahead of you”, adding that Europe “won’t be spared” a 9/11-style disaster.
“My German friends no longer know where they are. They can’t believe their eyes about what is happening…they’re desperate,” he claimed.
He also warned that if immigration could not be dealt with “in an intelligent, rapid and energetic manner,” then Europe was headed for “more than just upheaval, on a scale you can’t even imagine.”
As for France, Mr Trump warned: “Unfortunately, France isn’t what it was, nor Paris.”
